Class Descriptions

  • All Levels classes are designed to incorporate any levels of practice from beginner to intermediate. The teacher instructs class with comprehensive instruction and offers ways to advance poses to go further in ones practice.

  • Vinyasa or flow yoga is the practice of consciously linking the movement of the body to the movement of the breath. Classes are a moving meditation during which the breath acts as the seamless connection between all experiences.

  • Intermediate classes work on advancing one's practice through meditation, pranayama, asana, and philosophy. A great class for practitioners with at least 6 months of regular yoga experience.

  • Gentle classes are for all levels, especially for beginners and students with physical limitation due to injury or illness.  Emphasis will be on improving flexibility and reducing tension. Students will learn the basic poses with focus on a ways to accommodate limitations.

  • Meditation in Motion is for yogis of all levels looking to cultivate a meditation practice and to uncover the deep connection yoga postures offer. Meditation in motion will offer many methods of sitting meditation as well as meditation in asana practice. The combination of yoga and meditation is a powerful doorway inward to deeper awareness. This class will use meditation and yoga as a tool to reconnect our mind back to our heart and body...find your way back HOME

  • T'ai Chi is a Chinese martial art that is primarily practiced for its health benefits, including a means for dealing with tension and stress.  Master Tung says, “T’ai Chi Ch’uan is not a display of strength, power or violence. It is to attain serenity, tranquility, and discovery of one’s self. It is truly an exercise of the mind.” Ken's classes emphasize form, structure, opening of the joints, sinews and the mind.  Beginners are truly welcome.

  • Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues and joints of the body — parts of our bodies that we largely ignore until they are giving us trouble. Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga can help increase your range of motion and provide space and fluidity in your joints. Energetically, Yin classes cultivate openness, yielding, and patience.
